I’d recommend GDLauncher as it has an easy to use UI with 1 click install of mods. You can download CurseForge Minecraft Launcher using this link. 'unable to resolve mod' means the mod version was archived on Curse removing it from public view, the only way to download those old files is using the Curse/Twitch launcher and only through modpacks that include those archived files.
